Contours also have printed "Made In Denmark" and we all know the boxes are made in Latvia...

No quite sure on the law in Denmark but in order for a product to say made in USA, more then 50% of the parts need to be made here in order to qualify. Probably something similar in Europe or whatever.

In the end it doesn't really matter to me anyway, so I'm just gonna give it rest now. The 30s sound great and they look awesome. I would buy them. I haven't heard the 20s yet but in passing.

I don't care too much either as long as it is a quality item. These former Soviet block Contour 20 cabs look pretty damn nice...lol.

My C2 Platinum are my end game for me, and I can still get even more out of them with I put in front of them.

Bang for buck wise, my excite 12’s are hard to beat. Listening to them today again as my main L+R speakers (see earlier pics) and damn they sound awesome for what they cost. The bass from these little guys defies logic, and at one point I got up to make sure my XD’s were not playing. Pretty sure they are entirely made in Denmark too. 25k (retail) worth of gear in front of them, but they were not embarrassed at all, in fact I am working on a deal to move either my Sopra’s or XD’s...but the excite’s are staying for sure!

I'd think those will come along with an M1. M1 to me just sounds so appealing if it can be priced decent. Those amazing drivers and the rounded carbon fiber cabinet. Wish I could afford the M2 though, maybe one day.

RaceTripper: I think you're the first person in the Northern Hemisphere to see a pair, now you just need to sit down and listen to a couple of pairs. Maybe your dealer will let you take a pair home and sit them next to your C2s so you can compare... The made in China is a moot point, sooner or later everything will be made their and we will be all talking Mandarin Chinese like they did on the show FireFly! LOL All kidding aside you need to have a fair playing field even in the global economy this article was written over a year ago, and is spot on....... https://money.cnn.com/2018/04/05/new...ons/index.html I get some people just don't give a rats ass, good for them, I do! So now we have established that we can just see how things play out with new Confidence line and hopefully you can be one of the first people to fill us in on how they sound.

Some of you guys are car lovers from some posts.

We get to see the first mid-engine Corvette come to life before I get to hear a Confidence speaker. .

Just hours away. Corvette will now only be mid-engine. The last front engine Vette to be produced was auctioned at over $2m Yikes.

See you tonight on-line at reveal.

Will be cool to see it race. I wonder soon we will see a C8.R racing IMSA. Sebring '20? That's probably too soon. Maybe PLM '20? (I haven't searched to see what folks are saying).

I think so. Tonight is entry level reveal. Next year I do think all wheel drive twin turbo.

There has to be a C8 R coming.

Only took over 60 years to finally get a mid engine Vette. Watch out auto world. The U.S. is bringing it.

I think it's more likely the C8.R will be a NA RWD version. An AWD twin-turbo will likely be overpowered for homologation into IMSA and ACO GT-class racing.

On the fence about the mid engined plastic fantastic. I fully agree that the engine is best behind you. Practically speaking it is a huge pita though. Coolant lines, oil cooler lines, eventually inter-cooler water lines im sure, refrigerant hoses going up and down the car, really complicate the ownership experience. I always appreciated the vette as a relatively simple sports car the every man can aspire to own and work on. The cam in block engines are small and far back as it is so I wonder how much benefit it will add. Advertised 0-60 times and 1/4 mile times will drop from the better launch with the engine over the rear.

Sorta like how all speakers would be active in the ideal sense, but passive speakers are easier/more interactive to own (for me anyways). I think I need a c6Z in my life, I think they are at the bottom of their depreciation curve. Crazy how fast of a car you can get for 30k

no quarter: Looks like a NAD system from the video. I would has the dealer if you can take them home and compare!

It's all relative, heck I was playing these last night over my Teac/Computer system and are very shocked they are so good for how small they are.... everyone not just Dynaudio are making advancements, with even smaller speakers and gear that sounds wonderful! I liked some Dali speakers in the past, still not as good as Dynaudio but these little puppies showed up via a friend to test out and they are wonderful for a desktop and or small room and or office system. The NAD (Which are technically PSB's) are equally as good...

Meh. Corvette will always be the car that goes fast, but has suspect styling. For some reason, American car designers just can't produce a beautiful car. Corvette's up until now are ugly as ****, unless they get tons of aftermarket upgrades. I'm afraid the Corvette will always be the "mid life crisis car" for those who can't afford a Porsche, Ferrari, or Lambo. I wish that would change, but I doubt it.

New vette will be DOHC................unfortunately. LS/LT engines was the best part. Small, light, powerful, easy to work on engines. Can't say I'm a huge vette fanatic but sign me up for cheap speed. Simplicity is the ultimate sophistication. Id rather be out at HPDE with a car that is easy/cheapish to fix than polishing my Italian exotic in the garage because I'm afraid to put miles on it.

GT3 is the best of all worlds in my book but can be excruciatingly expensive to track regularly.

GT3 is the best of all worlds in my book but can be excruciatingly expensive to track regularly.
Nope, not initially. It's coming with a pushrod LT2 initially. Possibly an overhead cam V8 down the line...

In the mid nineties I owned a 67 Camaro and a Harley Davidson 1991 fat boy. Both in mint condition, a guy in my hometown wanted to trade my car and bike for his 1963 corvette convertible. It also had a hardtop, it was white with red leather interior, 327, 4 speed. The problem is, he also wanted 3 grand, which I did not have at the time. I regret to this day not doing that deal, he won multiple shows with it, and look at the price of these things today

C1 and C2 Corvettes are awesome. Wouldn't mind a C2 split-window with a big block.

Yeah, a different guy I know had a 1967 vette, nowhere near as nice a shape as the one I wanted, but it had a numbers matching 427 six pack...someone offered him 75 k for it, he turned them down. Similar to this one.
