We've been selling out of Verus II speakers as soon as we get them in, so I don't think you'll see a sale on them anytime soon.

As for open box you can always give the guys a call and see what they have.

While going from 4T to 5T isn't a huge difference for just movies, but I think you will notice some improvement for a couple reasons:

a. You have a good sized room and I think the 5Ts will better fill up the space

b. Getting the tweeters a little higher on the 5T will also help the high frequencies reach your ear from the towers if you are sitting more than 6-8 feet from the speakers

So yeah, I think it would be worth the upgrade. But having said that I don't think it's one that you absolutely have to make as the 4Ts will probably do pretty well for you too.

Hope that helps!
Based on your feedback I ordered my 5t's today so my final setup will be: 5t's up front, 6c, 4t's on the side and old 522d's in the back. I could upgrade the 522d's but they were the speaker that made me desire Aperions for the last 15 years (I bought them when they were Edge Audio in a 5.0 kit when the company first launched) Been waiting to get a full kit of updated Intimus speakers since then so I think the 522d's are a good reminder (in the rear of course) and I have off brand ceiling speakers for Atmos, so I am looking forward to setting up everything this weekend and then having my wife threaten a divorce if I dont turn it down!

Excellent, those 522s should do quite nicely as rear surrounds and I hear you on the nostalgia factor. I also used to have a pair of them on my desk back in the day at Aperion HQ. Enjoy the 5Ts!

I bought this one, over ten years ago.
Just a normal stand, but added some custom made outrigger for a better look.
I did the same on my Verus Grand towers.

Very nice on the outrigger setup. It looks very sharp. I need to do some research on this!

How to the Verus 2s do compared to the Intimus' for a 100% movies environment. Don't get me wrong I love the Intimus speakers, having the 5t's and 6c up front. I was just wondering that up upgrade to Verus would be like when I am doing movies 100% in my theater.

Honestly, for just movies in a medium sized room like yours, the 5Ts and 6C should be plenty. Yes you'll get smoother highs from the Verus tweeter and a fuller midrange for the front left and right since the VGTs use 6" woofers and are three ways. If you were doing music or had a bigger room, I would say go for it as it would be a significant upgrade. But for your current room and usage I think you would only hear a minimal difference.

First off, no matter what anyone else that lives in your house may say, push that speaker to the front edge of the stand, it will sound significantly better.

Once you've done that, then you can use the "On Stand" setting.

Looking good otherwise, enjoy!

So I guess you are looking to eliminate the reflection off of the stand, right? Done. What difference in the speaker's response does the switch position make?

Yeah you'll typically get a peak in the midrange if the sound is bouncing off a hard surface in front of the center channel.

I don't know the specific frequencies or roll off, but when you use the in cabinet/near wall setting for the VoiceRight switch it EQs out some bass to keep it from sounding muddy.
