I am considering everything from used to new and 100watt per channel on up. Rest of my equipment is listed in my signature. I am about 80/20 movie/music.
Not familiar with your AVR. I was able to choose between a 7.2.4 front preout or a surround rear preout. Within the speaker system selection in the Pioneer AVR. When I replaced my Pioneer SC1222 with the Pioneer Elite SC97. I used/repurposed my SC1222 to amplify my JBL front left and right speakers. The SC97 amplifies all the other JBL speakers and handles all the audio signal processing for ALL the speakers in a 7.2.4 speaker system.
