Hey, I have a quick question I was hoping I could get some help with.

I have my Panasonic GT50 hooked up to an RX-A810 receiver using ARC (Hdmi 2 from the tv).

ARC works but every time I turn off the tv it seems to reset (it shuts the receiver down with it). In order to get it working again on the receiver I need to go to setup and turn arc off, then back on and it works fine.

Any idea how to avoid needing to do this every time I turn on the tv?

If it's resetting then something is wrong with the implementation. Your best bet may simply be using an optical cable from the TV to the AVR which is actually the better connection as it will pass DD 5.1 from DD 5.1 sources (eg. Netflix) whereas the HDMI(ARC) connection will only pass PCM 2.0.

I was just researching ARC on the RX-A810 and came across this thread - there is a setting called "Standby Sync" under the HDMI settings that turns the receiver off with the TV. You can set it to Off.

Thanks. I don't know if I figured it out or an update swapped it but that setting is Off for me and I'd been getting the behavior I originally wanted.

Nowadays I kinda want the receiver to turn off with the tv haha
