Since two days my X4000 does something very strange.
As we are in a winter period power saving scheme we have days when we must power down as much as possible, those days I turn off the dedicated power section where all my video / Hi-Fi units are plugged into.
Yesterday I turned it all on to watch a film that was recorded in my TV Box disk, the box being connected to the X4000 default CBL/Sat HDMI 1 input, the video on my TV was OK but the audio volume turned on very low, but really very low hardly audible, I could increase it but even on high numbers still very faint.
I tried all other connected items and they were (still are) OK, I then connected the box to the free Media Player HDMI input 5 and there the audio volume was OK again, so to check if it's the HDMI 1 input that is faulty I went into setup, assigned HDMI 1 to the Media Player device, connected the box back to it and again volume OK, so the HDMI 1 input seems to be OK.
To cross check I then assigned HDMI input 5 to the CBL/Sat device, connected the box to input 5 and back to very low audio level.
As far as I can see, my box connection is OK and all the AVR's HDMI inputs are OK too, the audio problem occurs only when I select the CBL/Sat "device" regardless of which HDMI input is assigned to it.
I tried several complete power OFF/ON, in various power ON sequences, left it off mains disconnected whole night again nothing helped, now to get anything from my box I have to connect it to any other X4000 device than CBL/Sat regardless on which HDMI input it is connected.
Before I try a complete unit reset and possibly loose any settings, do you have and idea of what's going on ?
