For my computer system I am currently driving a pair of GR Research N2X with a Harman Kardon 3490. I also have a BIC F12 sub in this setup. I am using the onboard dac. The speakers are 6.2ohms minimal and 85dB sensitive, which I why I chose the 3490 as it has been tested and verified by Audioholics to put out rated power and handle lower impedance speakers with ease. I'm wondering if the Denon X1000's bass management and MultEQ will be an upgrade. By filtering out the bass frequencies to my speakers and having room correction, will I notice an improvement even if the Denon has lower SN ratio and questionable power output? This is solely for 2 channel, but I cannot find a cheap 2 channel unit that will do full bass management and handle lower impedance loads.
