I have a 1613 running through Energy 5.1.

The volume output is very low. It does not even start to have audible sound until the control is in the 30's. I often have to have it at 65 hear the TV audio.

Any tips?

That's normal. But the "Pros" use the decibel scale that starts from down at around -80 dB and goes up to cinema reference level at 0 dB reading (and a bit more).

I normally watch a movie in my living room at -15 dB. Loud enough.

You can change in the menu of the Denon 1613. Did you run Audyssey yet? It will set up your speaker + sub levels to movie reference. Hope this helps. smile.gif
