If you are attempting a 5.1.4 setup, you do NOT need external amplification. As mentioned by another, without the manual, if you proceed to the Setup Menu of the Denon with its on screen display, select Setup Assistant, go through the steps until it prompts you as to which surround setup you intend. By selecting 5.1.4 Atmos, you’ll again be prompted as to which speaker inputs to use on the rear of the unit, and then, it will ask you how you want to designate your ceiling your ceiling speakers. Here, you might select Top Fronts and Top Rears for your 4 ceiling speakers.

Your images are not displaying so not sure what you are trying to display there.

As noted above, the X7200WA is a 9CH model so requires no external amplification for a 5.1.4 setup which would look something like the following:

Amp Assign: 9.1
Height Speakers: 4 Height Speakers
Height Layout: TF + TR
Wide/HT 2: Top Rear

If you choose to add Rear Surround speakers for a 7.1.4 setup, only then would you need to use an external 2CH amp:

Amp Assign: 11.1
Height Speakers: 4 Height Speakers
Height Layout: TF + TR
Wide/HT 2: Top Rear
Pre-out: Front + Front Wide (doesn't matter not using Front Wide)

I am seeing the pictures but not sure why others can not. I attached the 3 pictures again.

Those I can see at the bottom. So the answer is no, you won't use AMP ASSIGN = 11.1 as that's not what you have. Use the AMP ASSIGN = 9.1.

If you're only running 9 speakers, the X7200W has 9 amps, so there should be no need for an external amplifier.

Try the 9.1ch amp assign setting instead, so the AVR doesn't assume you need another 2ch amp.

Correct , I can confirm the new firmware versions . I also got it and downloaded it (it is the update fix for Pandora ) . It took 36 minutes and went perfect . I have wired Internet connection, so it helps in avoiding delays and interruptions .
Thanks , Denon ...!!!

During the Auto Calibration, it asked me these 2 options:

Audyssey Dynamic EQ: off
Audyssey Dynamic Volume: off

Is it best to leave them both OFF? I don't watch movies late night.

Most owners will likely prefer setting Dynamic EQ = ON (factory default on newer models) which will boost bass/surround audio at lower volume levels.

Dynamic Volume is the setting generally used at night.

If you're having problems with the dialog being drowned out by special effects, turning on Dynamic Volume at a low level sometimes can help.

Question about HDMI connection. I am able to see the movie on tv but no sound. I have attached a picture of how I connected the TV to the receiver and the bluray player to the receiver.

I am using a Sony player that provide and HDMI connection to the TV and and HDMI connection to the receiver for sound. The bluray player got 2 HDMI connections on the back.

Is the BDP set to pass both video+audio out of the HDMI output you are using?

Otherwise, try doing a "soft reset" of the AVR by powering off the AVR and BDP and unplugging their respective power cords and HDMI cable connecting them for 10 minutes.

After the Auto calibration, the Denon AVR-X7200W sounds really good now!

I went back manually and tried to use the sound level meter and make some sound level adjustments. I was trying to set all the channels to 75dB but was unsuccessful because all the channel levels could not reach at 75dB on the sound meter. The max level for each channel is +12. And at +12, the red needle on the sound meter was not even moving. So I guess I will leave all the channel levels alone and mess with it.

I set the sound meter at 70dB Range with "C" weighting and "Slow" Response.

Another question about the Master Volume on the receiver, is 70 consider Reference Volume? Because when I try to go higher than 70, the subwoofer making the flapping sounds. I believe the highest volume number is 95. I was trying to reach 85 but the subwoofer can't handle any more than 70.

So if I turn up the Master Volume to 80, that's considered reference volume.

Where did you get the 0dB, not on the AVR-X7200W? Because 0dB on the AVR-X7200W is dead silent. Or you are referring to other receivers like Pioneer and Marantz, right?

Went ahead and installed this too. And the iOS Denon app is still broken. (DeRemote is not broken, so obviously it's not a network thang.)

Got an error message regarding HDMI connections. I have attached an image to look at.

Again, my bluray player got 2 HDMI connections. HDMI 1 is for video and HDMI 2 is for audio. I did set to pass both video+audio out of the HDMI output and it's working great. But I need to connect the HDMI from the receiver to the TV so I can do settings. If I disconnect the HDMI cable from the HDMI Out to the TV, the error message goes away and I can watch movies without a problem.

Any of you experience the same problem? I suppose I can connect the HDMI cable to the HDMI Out from the receiver every time I need to do some setting adjustments of the receiver. I did not have this problem with my previous Pioneer receiver before the 7200WA.

Why do you want to use both HDMI outputs of your disc player?
You don't have to do that.

If you have an AVR-X7200WA (the A suffix is important, indicating support for HDMI v2.0 and 4K UHD video) then you do not need to use both HDMI outputs of your disc player. Change the player's settings so both audio and video use HDMI 1. The second (audio) HDMI output is needed only when the receiver does not support 4K UHD video. The AVR-X7200WA accepts 4K HDMI video with accompanying audio, extracts the audio for its own use and regenerates the HDMI video stream, passing it on to the TV.

My last receiver was not 4K so I left everything the way it was. LOL!

Will give it a try today. Really enjoying this receiver. Sounds fantastic for movies and music!

I put in a 4K movie but not sure if I am watching a 4K movie through the receiver. Is there a way to know if you are watching a 4K movie or a 1080p movie? The receiver front LCD does not let you know if it's a 4K video or 1080p video.

Although part of the HDMI 2.1 spec, the X7200WA does not feature the HDMI 2.1 hardware.

Or use the free Denon 2016 control App, either use RC look under Setup scroll down General and down to info, you will have choice for Video and Audio input signals, separately!

I put in a 4K movie but not sure if I am watching a 4K movie through the receiver. Is there a way to know if you are watching a 4K movie or a 1080p movie? The receiver front LCD does not let you know if it's a 4K video or 1080p video.
One way to discover the incoming signal's resolution is to use the remote and the receiver's on-screen display: Setup -> General -> Information -> Video

The same information is available using the receiver's Web page or Denon's smartphone app.

So your app is working? Mine's been broken recently... several weeks that I know of for sure... (Didn't use it a lot, but it came in handy once in a while...)

iOS?

Android. Used with some unexpected quirks not more than 30 minutes sgo. Close, delete from recent apps, open again. Or, open it from Heos app.
Avr info is the tab you are looking for.
