Surround Left (SL) channel not working

I went ahead and double checked all the connections and even reset the receiver but I am not getting sound out of the left surround channel with no issues from any other channel. I'm assuming I'll need to take it in, to where I have no idea, but thought I'd just check to see if I'm missing something particular to this receiver.

If anyone happens to have had this problem with one of your channels I'd appreciate info on how you handled it. It's a long shot but figured why not try the forum, maybe I'll get lucky.

I bought it 18 months ago but only now hooked it up...had to build the man cave first. Still under warranty but hopefully don't have to go that route.

Thanks.

SC-85 won't turn off...sometimes.

Well, let's see if there's another question I don't get a response to...

I turn off my SC-85 via Harmony hub and the light of whichever component I'm using at the time, say TV or BD, goes out but the receiver stays on with me being unable to use it except for a "hard" off which is done by holding down the power button for a few seconds. It seems to shut off fine with the designated Pioneer remote.

Is this a quirk or something that's supposed to happen. Thx.

YouTube 4K HDR via Chromecast Ultra

JUST KEEPING THE THREAD ALIVE...SORT OF...

Okay, why isn't the SC-85 passing through 4K HDR videos from YouTube?

I watched several videos that are 4K HDR (via Chromecast Ultra on YouTube), for example the LG Chess demo, hooked up directly to my LG set and they look wonderful and the banner states "4K" and "HDR". Hooked up the Chromecast Ultra directly to the SC-85, played exactly the same video, and the banner states "HD" and it obviously was not 4K or HDR.

Many of you have run 4K HDR stuff through the SC-85 with success. I doubt it's a copyright issue because I'm still seeing the video.

Anyone have any ideas on what I need change on the SC-85 to remedy this situation? I probably have to switch one thing but I simply cannot figure it out.

Thanks.

Anyone know what the proper setting should be for dual subwoofers?

for example I currently have it SW set to: SW1+2 YES

Other options:

SW1+2 PLUS
SW1 YES
SW1 PLUS

Just wondering what these all mean.

EDIT: I found the answer in another thread: https://www.avsforum.com/forum/90-re...-yes-plus.html

Nope. I ended up connecting Chromecast directly my set and haven't played around since. Sad, life would be better through the SC-85.
