Not sure what the deal is but I level matched with my SPL meter, I’d just caution folks their levels may be wonky right now.
In case someone wants to bring it up, I run XT32 the same (for about the last 3 years) way every time, and I have two different CM140 SPL meters so the results are verified. I always found my subs to be a few db lower than the speakers (which have always been properly set by XT32 around 74-75db), but now the speakers are about 5db low and the subs are about 9db low…
Test sounds are from spears and munsil 2 thru the Oppo 103d (-30dbfs and -40dbfs tones).
X3200 here so no DTS update. I always babied my mic. I gently coiled up the wire and always placed it in a gallon ziplock bag, and it lived in its own drawer in the house.
For no reason whatsoever, it suddenly set all speakers 5db low from where it did for it's previous 10-15 calibrations........Same speakers, same location, same room, same state, same planet.
I used my mic from my broken X2000 (same model # on mic, and verified with jd in this thread) and I got my exact usual correct results, verified with my outboard test tones and spl meter.
I opened a chat with Denon warranty, told them what happened and he asked me to upload a picture of my receipt & serial number, and then he sent me a new mic, no more questions asked.
Don't know why my mic broke, but it did.
