However, switching inputs from Bluetooth to another input (any other input) and back to Bluetooth the echo dot never reestablishes the bluetooth connection.

The s910w goes into the initial "pairing" setup, like it was never paired to the receiver. The Alexa APP shows the Echo Dot as paired but the s910w doesn't seem to be remembering the pairing. Does the s910w show a list of paired bluetooth devices?

Any suggestions?

NOTE: I am using the Echo Dot along with a Logitech hub and it works amazing changing inputs and turning stuff on and off.

Ex: "Alexa turn on ESPN" turns on all necessary components and turns DISH NETWORK to ESPN. Programming the Logitech from Android App is so much easier that old method of PC and USB cable.
UPDATE: I got it working! After much research I found that the Echo cannot pair with a bluetooth receiver/speaker that requires a passcode be entered. That got me thinking... (insert smoke here). I was putting the s910w into bluetooth pairing mode then starting the pairing sequence from the Echo. It would never keep the pair, the receiver would show the pairing code but the Echo has no interface to enter it.

The solution was to REVERSE the sequence, I started the Echo searching for a bluetooth THEN started the s910w pairing sequence. For whatever reason it paired and now keeps the pair when switching inputs! Hallelujah! Hope this can help some other inmates here!

I have a question.

I have a little indoor over the air antenna hooked up to my Panasonic VT60 via coax cable. Other than my X6200, which is connected via HDMI to the ARC capable HDMI connection on the TV, it's the only thing connected to the TV. Whenever I try to view the OTA content with the X6200W turned on, meaning ARC is engaged for audio, I experience occasional picture freeze ups and audio cut outs.

Could this simply be an issue with the HDMI cable or is it likely an inherent issue with the television and/or ARC? The cable is a few years old, but it's supposedly "high speed". When the 6200 is off, the picture and audio are fine.

I've experienced similar issues in the past when multiple sources are hooked up to a tv, and powered on, and I'm trying to use a coax feed. Sometimes if the DirecTV tuner was on, it would interfere with the antenna feed coming in via coax etc. When I turned the DirecTV tuner off, everything would be fine.

Has anyone else experienced this type of problem?

I've considered getting an external digital tuner that I could use to feed the OTA content through the X6200, which I believe would eliminate this issue, but I don't want to have to do that if something else might be causing this problem.

Was just reviewing settings on my 6200, and was wondering what, if any, changes to reference level offset folks have decided to use for various sources. I'm assuming most are using 0dB for blu-ray players, but am curious if anyone has experimented and decided on different settings for other devices? In particular, xfinity set-top box and xbox one.

Just bought a 4200, will be here tomorrow. This will replace a 4311ci, which has the option to use the external amp on the front LR. Does the 4200 have this option? Or is the amp limited to only the ATMOS speakers?

The 4200 has pre-outs for all channels.

The 3808CI is a 130W AVR vs. the 95W X2300W so will also depend on the impedance/sensitivity of your speakers as to whether this spec is moot or not. Audio quality should be similar after running Audyssey as both the 3808CI and X2300W use the same MultEQ XT. However, as others have indicated, you're better served upgrading to an XT32 model (eg. X3300W or X4200W or X4300H), selecting the model that best meets your feature/input/output requirements.
Thanks for the suggestions. I'm still using my ancient DefTech BP30's as my mains. I'll be upgrading my OPPO 103 to the 203 when it comes out. Maybe the X3300W will fit in my budget. Just purchased an LG OLED B6, an expensive year.

Thanks batpig. I know it has all the preouts, I just wanted to make sure I have the option to use the amp on the main LR when I go with 5.2.4.

The online manual shows the ATMOS speakers using the external amp in a 5.2.4 config. I will use an iNuke 1000, so want the power on the mains.

Very nice - you definitely got an early Christmas! I just ordered the last X4200 from HiDEF Lifestyle on Sunday (through Newegg). I hope they oblige me with the "Free Upgrade".

But I'll be happy with the 4200 at that price.

When listening to NEURAL X. Why do the top heights come on more then the surrounds? It seems like the surrounds are off yet with standard DD the surrounds come on.

You can use the external amp with the mains. I have mine set up that way using an Adcom GFA-545II to power my Energy RC70's. Somewhere in this thread is a post I put up of my settings but it's pretty easy when you go into speaker setup, set it to 9.1, and then tell it you have 4 height speakers and set the pre-out to mains.

Nice! You must have hit it just right as they ran out of stock, as the 4200 is no longer listed on their website. 4200s are drying up everywhere.

LOL--I've experienced the above issue as well (OTA signal degradation manifests itself when I turn on the DirecTV box, and disappears when I turn it off)...and here I am/was thinking that perhaps it may have been a combination of my location being somewhat close to the fringe of OTA HD reception and the indoor antenna I was using (antennaweb says indoor antenna should work for my location).

In listening to Pandora. Will the audio be better using Pandora on the 4200 vs the Oppo 103d since 4200 has the better DAC 32 or is it all the same?

This is because Neural:X is super aggressive about moving any direct effects to the overhead speakers. It's why a lot of people dislike it vs. DSU unless you really want that emphasized overhead effect.

Interesting. Would anyone who has 7.1.4 care to comment on how much comes out of the rears in this setup?

Given a choice of 7.1.2 vs 5.1.4, if the up-mixers are both pulling so much out of the rear channels, it would be a waste to go with 7.1.2?

I don't notice any issue with rear surrounds "disappearing" with Dolby Surround upmix. The aggressive overhead usage of Neural:X upmix is widely reported but I wouldn't necessarily jump to conclusions about other things which don't have broad consensus.

Guys,

Do you think I should get a Refurbished x3200w with extended warranty or a refurbished x2300w with 1 year warranty (there's no extended wrranty for this one yet)?

Right now the x3200 is about $430 + ext warranty and the x2300 goes for $450
