In my situation, I am "planning" to put my components in a Salamander component furniture/cabinet, that's about 87" long by about 20 inches high directly under in front of and below my screen. Should I be concerned about fan noise?

thanks.
The internal fan (SR7010) or fans (X6200W) won't turn on until the internal unit temp reaches about 159 degrees F, so in the vast majority of cases, the fans will never turn on.

Thanks JD. Where do you get that info? On the 6200 spec sheet from the Denon website, it says "High performance 192kHz/24-bit D/A converters for all channels". I also called Denon and they told me the same thing.

Yeh ... the website and 3rd party Texas reps don't always get it right.

Audyssey down samples to 48kHz anyway. I personally wouldn't sweat the DACs if you intend to run Audyssey.

Forgive me JD, you seem to be a pretty knowledgeable guy, but you didn't answer my question. How do you know the DACs in the 6200 are 32 bit, when Denon states they are 24? I recognize companies can make mistakes, but how do you know they're wrong in this case? Thanks.

I trust my source over the website or CSRs.

Thanks JD for "triple confirming" the "Both models use the exact same 32 bit DAC." This was a concern of mine. Now I have one less item to OCD about!

Thanks!

I've been considering either a refurb X6200 or waiting for the upcoming X4300H - both should be about the same price - but I just came across a refurbished SR7010 from an authorized dealer for about $500 less than the X6200/X4300H options. I'm having a really hard time finding any reason not to grab it. Does Marantz have the same 1-year warranty on refurb units as Denon? Assuming I'm okay with the refurb and shorter warranty period, it seems crazy to spend an extra $500 for virtually the same thing. The newer X4300H doesn't really offer me any new features that matter (although the new app would be a nice toy) so the only reason I'd hold out for that is to get the 3-year warranty for a new unit but the price differential is enough that I don't see the extra value.
