If this will sound at least as good as the 3030 which I just love to bits it will be a winner for sure.

I'm definitely hoping this will be the case! If so, will you be upgrading?

And while we are counting the days...

What do you guys think of the negative responses on the AccuEQ? Read a review thst it's compared with Dirac?? A little bit over saturated I think.

I have a TX-NR709 with Audyssey at the moment.

AccuEQ is the only thing I am a bit "worried" about.
As i have a difficult room with reflections.

I currently have the RZ900 in my living room. I'd say that the AccuEQ has been greatly improved. I still had to make some minor manual adjustments after running it BUT I also had to do that with my past receivers that had Audyssey. Most people that own the RZ900 and RZ800 and kept them have found that AccuEQ would not be a reason to pass over the receiver.

Unfortunately, I don't have much input for you. I've been lucky in that my room acoustics have not been problematic so Room Correction (EQ) has never been a "must have" feature for me. And although I've used MultiEQ, XT, XT32, and AccuEQ (2014)...after calibration, my preference more often than not was to disable RC.

I think the accuEQ on the rz900 does a darn good job vs manual eq for the LCR channels, it just sounds so much more balanced than any setting I can come up with.

This thread should not exist! Should make an official thread with the proper model names and not re-use this thread so people don't have to read pages of misinformation and speculation.

Found this from @Defcon in a different thread...which I tend to agree with.

"From what I've read, the new AccuEQ focuses on LFE and leaves midrange and HF untouched. If you read the Audyssey FAQ, that's exactly what XT32 does (but not MultiEQ) and is considered the 'right' thing to do. So I'm not sure if AccuEQ is still worse than Audyssey, would like to see a detailed review of both."

If the TX-RZ710 and TX-RZ810 are THX certified and Onkyo is targeting the "discerning audiophile" with the RZ series, one would expect the 1100/3100 to follow suit?

Thanks for the input...I'm personally ambivalent/neutral on the matter...maybe revisit when definitive information/data/specifications are released and closer to when product hits the streets.

Man, I was 4.2 seconds away from buying a 8802a........until all this new info.

I am beginning to get the 'desperate-jitters' towards these new and upcoming units.
The rz3100 and the new processor......they should be awesome!

Now.....Can a tech in the Onk' factory please sneak down to production line and snap a few!:-)))

It's coming. The question to ask is if they will have the DTS:X software by then.

I think it's going to be a fully loaded receiver.

Hope it will looks a little heavier/luxurious/bigger than the RZ900. But as the history tells us. I think it will.

Love the idea of having Google cast on the receiver. And the only brand having Deezer on board.

Some salesman says Onkyo only goes for the bells and whistles and doesn't goes for the sound quality.
Funny that those are always the salesman who doesn't sells Onkyo.😀

Panasonic TX-P65VTW60 | Panasonic DMP-BDT500 | Asus Chromebox OpenELEC triple boot | Pioneer SC-LX89 | 6 X Monitor Audio Apex 10 | Canton Chrono SL 590 black | Klipsch R-115W | BK Sub XXLS400 | Zalman HTPC | Harmony Ultimate
