DID file playback on Denon 2015 X Series (6200, 4200, etc)

I have a large selection of SACD is th at I am able to convert into .dsf or any of the other dsd type of files that are SACD but I cannot get my denon 4200 for play the darn things. I can play disc based SACD via hdmi on my Sony blue ray just fine.

I tried putting the dsf files onto a USB and the receiver could read the file types and get meta data but would not actually play the music.

Any ideas? I'm really missing some of my old SACD from a long time ago and my Panny 53a

Are you trying to play stereo or multichannel files? D+M's AVRs can only play stereo.

If stereo files aren't playing, contact Denon. Your receiver might need to be repaired or replaced.

Yup. It's annoying. You might try plugging the usb drive into the Sony player. I know the 6500 can't play DSD files over DLNA, but I don't recall if they play from USB.

FAT32 is readable on just about all A/V equipment. Some can read NTFS, but it's not mentioned in the Sony BDP-S6500 manual.
