power amp,processor faq

i have a onkyo receiver i heard about power amplifier processor etc what is it
how it can be used in home theater
should i connect output from receiver to power amplifier can any one guide me in a detailed way

Do you mean hooking up a multi-channel power amp to your Onkyo receiver?

Ok, well if it's a 5 channel or more amp you want to hook up you have to make sure the Onkyo has 5 channel or more pre-outs. That's the first step. If it does, then you need the amp of course and 5 RCA cables. Very simple after that. I am running a powerful Parasound 5 channel amp using my older Yamaha receiver as the controller. Works and sound great.
