Upgrading to Denon Help?

I have a JVC RX664V and I'm interested in a Denon AVR-X2300W. I don't plan on upgrading the speakers. Will upgrading the AV Receiver improve sound quality for the existing speakers?

The JVC RX664V is a receiver according to my Google search. You didn't mention what existing speakers you have so how can we say if it will sound better or not?

Well your JVC is really old and doesn't do Dolby Digital, DTS or anything modern. Hopefully whatever you plan to connect has HDMI so you can get the best audio possible.

So yes, it should be a sound upgrade even with your Bose speakers. Are they Bose satellites or bookshelf speakers like the 301, 201, etc?

You'll find that in general Bose speakers get no love on this forum. Suggest you ask speaker upgrade questions in the Speakers forum for some good suggestions.
