Question 2018/19 Denon / Marantz AVR Models

Hello to all.

Do you have any idea on when Denon/Marantz is going to unveil their new 2018/19 models? Specifications? (I am not talking about 8500 or 8805, all mid model range like 6400, 4400, 3400, 2400...)

As always..on summer or ...?

Any leaks or news?

Posts in other threads by JDSmoothie (who should know) have suggested that there is no reason to expect that the schedule will be any different from previous years. The variations tend to be for the flagship models, but those are already shipping.

Thanks for the reply.

Whats about specifications? Any news?

I am really hoping for 9.2ch to become standard instead of 7.2ch.

No official release likely until at least May and unlikely standard will ever change from 7.2 as the vast majority (ie. 80%+) have at most only a 5.1 setup or less.

This Atmos thing poisoned many people around world. Even though I don’t think that it’s very different than previous formats. (I mean, almost 99% of all actions are on the ground, not above us)

Everybody wants a future proof system, but running after future never ends 🙂

I think Atmos thing is exaggerated (pay attention that they give rain sounds above us in recent films, but rain sound comes when they hit the “ground”

I know it’s nonse but I can’t help upgrading my 1 year old AVR for more top speakers 🙂

Sounds like you haven’t heard Atmos. Most of the fun in 7.1 isn’t being able to pinpoint sounds to speakers around you, not being able to is much more fun. It’s the same with Atmos. When the setup and the soundtrack are up to par it feels like you are in a place that you aren’t, the point of it all isn’t getting constant audible proof of having more speakers in your room. In 2016 we had soundtracks where the upper layer was used only for rain and helicopters without a true feeling of immersion. Luckily that’s not the case anymore.

Wondering the same. I'm itching to upgrade from SR5010 to SR6012 / SR7012 but if the SR60/7013's are coming out soon then we might see a price drop (or a reason to go to 7013).

LG OLED55C6P calibrated
Denon X4400H 5.2.4
Denovo HTM-10
HSU Research surrounds
2x18" Dayton Ultimax sealed < Pro-LITE 7.5 amp < MiniDSP 2x4 HD

At least Denon X3400H was unveiled 13th July 2017 and all new models with release dates were known at least on the first of June. Lower tier models earlier. I'm interested in upgrading my X1200w to a model with Audyssey XT32 so the possible X3500H would be a perfect fit.

Avr: Denon AVR-X1200W, speakers: 2 x Revel F36, TV: LG 55C7V

My 4 1/2 year old Pioneer VSX-1123 just gave up the ghost tonight. I get a picture but no sound. Anyway, I need to replace it within the next month. Most of the 2017 Denon models were already previewed by mid May last year...anyone have info on the 2018s?
