Need Amp to Power Outdoor 8 ohm speakers

I have two weatherproof speakers from monoprice (the 6.5 inch version).

I was looking to just use the Sonos Connect Amp to power them and play music, but at $500 bucks, no way.

I am in need of an amp to power these speakers. I can just use my Chromecast Audio to stream the music, so that is not an issue.

I just need a simple small amp, that won't over heat. I will have an outdoor volume control, but I THINK I would need the volume on the amp turned almost all the way up, and just adjust the volume with the control outside.

Pyle makes a few between $100 and $200 bucks, but reviews and quality make it seem sketchy.

check out the audiosource 100vs (ab) or the ad102 ( class D). these can be had for ~100-200 new, lots of used on ebay 50 -100.

parts express has the dayton audio APA102(class D) basically the same as the audiosource ad102 although rated a little higher WPC. put the amp indoors somehwere...

of interest is the dayton audio hi fly system. they have a pre amp only and and integrated pre+ amp (20 wpc). basically a poor man's sonos - but a fraction of the cost. wpa 02: $38, wfa40 : $88. surprising what 20 wpc can do. But your chromecast audio will do the trick.

this set up could be installed outdoors in a weatherproof box...

you can also find some chinese made class D 2amps for ~25 - 50 on ebay. output power depends on the power supply used.

hope it helps

quick question, if I DID go with the Sonos Connect Amp, any issue using it with a pair of these speakers from monoprice?
Any volume issues?
