It's possible those are "test mules" using the STR case and they have another design in the works but it's also possible that they're adopting a similar design language across the lineup. It's good from a brand perspective and also allows for easier economies of scale by having more common parts.

I see the image is gone so I can't look too closely.

So the pic was removed after a couple of us started asking "where did you get the pic?"

I was asked to remove the link to the Israeli forum by a member here. I am still contemplating whether to follow. I see no malicious intent on my part and the site is presently in an overt Google search and I just simply share it.

I don't see anything wrong with you sharing and posting a pic that was posted here. Not sure why the poster wants the pic removed everywhere only after being asked where he got it from. The pic is out there now myself and others have already downloaded it when it was posted here. Besides if you remove it from your post people on that site will be questioning why you removed it even if you tell them you were requested to do so.

I think the new units look terrific and much more up to date than the older designs! ARC is my second favorite RC option and I preferred it over Dirac Live in multiple receivers/processors. The Anthem's that I've owned have also been very reliable and bug-free, except for the networking.

Shame Anthem doesn't license Auro-3D. Auromatic is an excellent upmixer for 2-channel music.

The New STR & MCA power amps are made in Canada. The MRX avrs are made in Vietnam. I hope the new avrs support Tidal MQA & EARC as these two features are important for me.

I like the new look if it turns out to be like this :-)

Anthem really needs to up their game. The 520/720/1120 series already quite quite dated compared to its competitors. A tech refresh is required soon.

I’ve already sold off my 1120 about 1yr ago to try something new, particularly features like Bluetooth and other streaming apps. But I still like the ARC Genesis which makes my speakers and subwoofers shine. I hope this news is authentic.

I don't think a bunch of "toy" features like blutooth audio is important vs a rock solid base feature set + good quality sound. I don't think the 520/720/1120 is dated at all. Nothing even comes close to Anthem's virtual inputs except Trinnov.

I have some issue with HDMI in my previous 1120 which made me sent the unit to the service center 2 times. I discovered that Anthem’s HDMI is quite sensitive when paired with some display. Part of the reason i sold off is also my annoyance with the finicky HDMI output. But that’s me. I hope no one gets offended when I relate my own encounter. Not bashing Anthem here.

What display was that? I've only ever used anthem on JVC and Sony projectors and it's always been rock solid here.

What were the problems you were having with the HDMI link? It was possibly a problem with your cable. All the projectors you listed work perfectly with the Anthem HDMI. Or it could be a defective unit, which means after repaired would work perfectly.

Cables is a HDMI 2.0a certified and it is quite short (about 3m) from the source (Anthem) to the projector. I doubt the cable is the issue here. Long story short, that’s my own personal experience with Anthem 1120 back then but that does not mean others will have the same issue as I do. Hence I consider myself unlucky. Oh by the way, after the 2nd repair, I immediately put up for sale and didn’t try it at home. But so far I have not heard from the next owner. I assume it is fine and working great after the repair/replacement of the HDMI board.

Looking forward to own the new Anthem again.

I grow tired of the argument that a few bells and such as bluetooth as well as other types of integration will "damage" the sound or the solidity of it. Prove it.
The bottom line is there are a lot of people that would love to listen to something they found on their phone or tablet. Not every listen is a critical one. DTS-Play-Fi is crap and that's on there. You think that is ruining the sound?

As far as looks, the AVM stuff looked like the Statement line and the STR stuff looks like the new MDX series, so the looks would be congruent I would think.

Forgot to add that the current lineup has a nice finish on the faceplate and what looks like bed-liner on the rest of it. At this price point, the whole case should have the same quality finish.
