I did read in monoprice Questions that the HTP1 can use both TM speakers a Auro 3D top high track
Has this been confirmed by anyone?

I can't wait to get a real review of this unit

The Top Middle speakers can output VOG info from an appropriate Auro3D track as per the one beta tester who posts here.

Do we know if it can do Firmware upgrades via Ethernet port ?
I don't want to have to load it to a USB stick like the Emotiva RMC1

I’m actually ok either way. My JVC projector uses USB. Works just fine.

My Marantz updates via network - works good too.

Is there a copy of the manual for this yet? I am very interested but want to make sure it has all the more advanced features I require. Emotiva is the only one I've read a manual from, and it's missing some features for me.

Video: JVC RS4500 135" screen in pure black room no light, htpc nvidia 1080ti.
Audio: Anthem mrx720 running 7.1.4, McIntosh MC-303, MC-152, B&W 802d3 LR, B&W HTM1D3 center, B&W 805d3 surround, B&W 702S2 rear, B&W 706s2 x 4 shelf mounted for atmos, 2 sub arrays both infinite baffle: 4x15 fi audio running on behringer ep4000 + 4x12 fi audio running on 2nd ep4000.

Engineering Manager's Observation- Monoprice is the master at selling 4K certified HDMI cables for $5...thats Tier 1 complexity. Then they started selling best-value subwoofers that tier 2 complexity. Then they stepped up to best value amps monolith series Tier 3 complexity....but then they went after Tier 4 complexity, a 16 CH Pre-Pro in the middle class+ price range. The Business powerpoint slides said this leap was doable. The reality to execute this plan has proven too tough for many brands. Monoprice will get there if they throw the right resources to solve the issues..by 11/15????

my 2 cents

11/15 also feels like one of those arbitrary dates that a product manager might use to represent "let's shoot for the middle of Nov". The date is prefixed with "ETA" after all, which explicitly means it's an estimate.

Oh well, I guess it's better to delay the release then ship with a bunch of issues. Perhaps the Arcam AVR20 will get my money instead.

The new ETA is 12/6. Sorry for all the suspense!

I can tell you that me, the team at MDS and ATI have been working day and night on this, including weekends, and possibly will even be working on Thanksgiving, to make sure this gets out there as soon as possible.

The constant feedback from the beta testers has been invaluable and has only made the processor better. I cannot thank them enough!

Who else has beta testing units? Are they posting on other forums were we could read of their observations. Marcus had the unfortunate health issues and has thus been understandably quiet as of late.

The Kansas City enthusiast group is still available/interested to grab one of your beta or production units and put it through some comparison testing with high end or even flagship units from Denon, Yamaha, Nad, and such. I would coordinate an evaluation g2g meet with the locals which could be of interest to prospective customers - if the opportunity avails.

11/15 came and went. Hard to believe they woke up this morning and decided to push the go live date 3 more weeks. Should really be more proactive communication and info from the beta testers would be helpful to appease the interested hoard.

Agree that a buggy release is no bueno, but communication would help.
