Receiver behind projector

Hey guys so I recently setup my ht and my only option for now is to put the receiver behind the projector screen. Problem now is that the remote doesn’t work through the screen and I have to get up and go behind to adjust. Can you guys recommend a fix for this? I know there little devices u can put over the receiver and put the sensor elsewhere, can u guys recommend a brand you’ve used

The thing to look for is IR repeaters.

I have a monoprice IR repeater with my AVR in a remote closet.

I am able to use a simple 3.5mm stereo cable connected between it and the Marantz or Denon "Flasher" input. No need to use the glue on IR lamp to the front sensor. I am pretty sure that Yamaha, Onkyo and others that have the input will also work this way.

It is a simple and good solution.

As others have mentioned a ir repeater will work fine for your situation. Most are inexpensive and simple to install/setup, depending on what you purchase...

Ive installed these ir repeaters for others, and they work perfectly with no issues when equipment or device is out of site. Most can be purchase i different lengths.

I use the BAFX repeater linked above by @toddman36 . My receiver/bluray/cablebox/etc is behind the wall that my LCD TV is mounted on. No issues whatsoever with this repeater.

Receiver behind projector

Check if your AVR has a network connection, and an app to control over the LAN, if you haven’t used that before. The Yamaha AV Controller app would be ideal.
