My apologies for posting in the wrong thread. I will probably get an AVR4400 on sale so that's probably why I posted here.

Thank you for the info! It was the exact answer I was seeking!

( https://usa.yamaha.com/files/downloa...l_Multi_A0.pdf )

I wonder if Denon will officially come out and say something similar, or if Yamaha did something different with their hardware that allows them to claim 2.3 compatibility?

Quoting myself..... I'm like Jimmy

I'm going to roll the dice and stay with my X3500 and its HDCP 2.2 rating, as it makes complete sense to me that if Yamaha is able to officially claim their current 2.2 stuff is "2.3 compatible" then I'm going to bet that Denon will eventually say the same thing, as I doubt Yamaha did anything different with their HDMI hardware.

Man I just love the sound of my 3500's XT32.... it's simply on another level than any other Audyssey XT AVR that I have ever owned.

Now, here's to hoping that this Denon will last much longer than my last 2 Denons did........

CCNET Review Denon S750H

First review I've seen on a 2019 Denon model -

Highlights: - The Denon AVR-S750H offers excellent home theater performance in an affordable, up-to-date package with plenty of connectivity options. It supports numerous wireless standards including Bluetooth in/out, Apple's AirPlay 2 and Denon's own HEOS.

when is projected availability of x3600h ?

Sorry if I missed this,

I was wondering if the availability of the x3600h is known yet? I'm actually curious because I want to try to figure out the best time to buy a 3400 or 3500. I figure the best time would be right after the 2019 model is released. - Trying to squeeze every last penny out.

My new house should be completed in January and I am also hoping to find a 4500 for $700-$800 between now and then!

Hopefully they will release the 4600's (and 3600s for you!) later this year.

I'm getting impatient! Hope you are having fun with the new house audio planning! Scan the earlier pages of this thread to confirm - but there's not going to be a 4600 released this year. They will be skipping the3 higher end and releasing the 4700 as a year 2020 model equipped with HDMI 2.1 / HDCP 2.3

Pre-wire design locations are finalized.

Doing a 5.2 setup.

Most likely an AVR-x4500h preamped to an Outlaw 5000 amp with RSL CG25's up front LCR and CG3 bookshelf speakers on wall mounts for rear. dual subs, too....

Whole House audio with HEOS, as well.

First-time home buyer so yeah....I'M STOKED!!!

There is a lot of very helpful information provided in the first 8 posts of this thread (as noted in the thread title) to include the estimated release dates of each model in post 1.

As noted in post 1 of this thread, the X4500H and X6500H models will both continue through to fall 2020.

Just installed a 6500 in my new 7.2.4, my third Denon. I'm impressed. Among other things, the size of the user's manual.

Hi guys ,getting either a x3500 or x3600 or x 4600 ..tried looking thru manual on the 4500 for preout voltage but I think it is 1.2 v is that correct JD ? I m using power amps so will be straight preamp for me ..now also aside from 7.2 x3500 and x4500 9.2 channels any real differences ?
I mean the x4500 Is very attractive looking with the flip door ..

The big difference is ts the X3500/X3600 is only 7.1 whereas the X4500 is 11.1 (there are 9 internal amps but you mention using it as a pre-amp only so what matters is the 11.1ch processing).

Note that there won't be an X4600, the X4500 remains as a current model.

If you want the extra channels, but are concerned about the extra cost, look into a prior model like the X4400 which can be found much more cheaply and is virtually identical. There has been very little change in the Denon lineup the past few years, the X4300, X4400, and X4500 are largely the same unit.

AFAIK, yes, 1.2v. Review post 1 for the feature differences, although sounds like the X4500H is your preferred model.

Yup, looks like the X3600H is like a "baby" X4500H, or in a way more similar to the Marantz SR6013 with the less powerful amp rating. It gets HDCP 2.3 like the other 2019 models which the X4500H or SR6013 doesn't have.

It seems that the 7.2 channels range of receivers will get smaller this year...

(later edit)
And also it seems that Onkyo TX-NR787 (US), Onkyo TX-RZ730 (EU) and Pioneer VSX-LX303 were killing the X4500H/SR6013 receivers with their insanely low prices...

Appearently, no Auro-3D/Auromatic.
Also missing:
1. the front door;
2. the dual rows display with signal channel indicators;
3. the RC-1219 remote from X4500H ;

Features that might* be missing:
1. D.D.S.C.-HD with AL32 Processing Multi-channel;
2. Bass Sync;

The rear panel looks identical with X4500H.

So it's an X3500H on the front, with X4500H innards* and X4500H rear panel and with X3500H remote (RC-1228).

Picked up the 1600 to replace the S930 I had in the bedroom. Don't need a lot of power there. I also wanted the phono input. Simple set-up. Sounds just fine. eARC works just fine with my 950G. Amazing just 2 years ago you couldn't get phono inputs unless it was the top of the line models. Now even the lowest end X-series has them.

I was in my local Target the other day and their LP collection was almost the same size of their 4K blu rays. I still shake my head a bit seeing new records being sold in stores like Bed Bath and Beyond but I think it has more to do with an extreme time warp effect it has on me as a child of the 70's. I keep checking my front pocket for my pez dispenser. Not knocking vinyl but it's super trippy seeing them actually sold again in modern retail stores.

Neural X on DD

Hi

I'm able to apply Neural-X on DD soundtracks with my new AVR-X4500H. Is that mean that its gonna stay that way or should I avoid future FW updated so this feature won't get blocked?

Blocking DTS to DD but allowing DD to DTS is clear discrimination against DTS. Can this restriction be disabled using a modified FW?

I hope some Chinese company would come up with an HDMI device that decodes DD bitstreams and reencodes them as multichannel PCM on the fly while leaving DTS and Atmos streams intact...

Thx

The X4500H is a 2018 model. Please repost in the 2018 Denon AVR Owner's thread.
