why not get an Apple TV? That way you're using WiFi to stream which would be better quality than Bluetooth. Plus you would be able to stream Netflix, Prime, etc and also from your iPhone via Airplay.

since your AVR is 10 years old you don't need the 4K model. The 3rd or 4th generation Apple TV would suffice.

As far a a universal remote a Harmony remote would work. It can control the Oppo, Yamaha and DirecTV with no problem. I have 3 Harmony remotes, one in each room. The 650/700 can control up to 8 devices. The replacement is the Harmony 665 which can control up to 10 devices.
