Amping atmos speakers worth it.

Just got a emotiva a-700 to run my lower speakers. It sounds great. Lower speakers are emotiva T1/C2/E2.
Is it worth getting a a-500 to run the atmos?
At the moment i have them on the onkyo 830. Atmos speakers are Boston acoustic soundware.
Room is 11x12 with 8ft ceilings.
A-500 would only run me $382.

Even without any info on your listening habits, I’d say it’s not worth it. Your Atmos speakers can’t handle much more power than a typical AVR delivers anyway, so you wouldn’t likely notice a difference with an outboard amp. But that’s me.

Speakers: PSA MTM-210T x2, MTM-210C, MT-110SR x2; Atmos-SVS Satellite x2, DIY Volt-10 x2
Subs: PSA V1801 x2, DIY: 18" RSS460HO, 15" RSS390HO x2, BOSS w/JBL CX1200 x6
MA’s: Crowson Tech x2
Processing: Denon X4200, NU6KDSP, 3KDSP
Video: Epson 3700; Screen: Silver Ticket 106" High Contrast

I agree, and there is no much details on height speakers in movies.

Good to know. I will pass for now. I listen at about 70 on movies and 60 when watching tv. The amp seemed to help the lower speakers and happy i did it.
