Onkyo TX-RZ630 9.2 Channel 4K Vs Pioneer VSX-LX303 9.2 Channel 4k

Looking to buy two receivers for a 2-storey home, one for downstairs and one upstairs.

Any opinion on the Onkyo TX-RZ630 Vs Pioneer VSX-LX303 ?

Both are priced very close to each other and < $400.

Does it make sense to buy two of the same brand or buy one each?

Looking to play music downstairs(hallway, outdoors and bathroom) and upstairs(3 bedrooms) independently so I believe both the receivers support 3 zones.

@Tampaite I posted this a few months ago for another member. The rz630 has digital audio to zone 2, dual hdmi out, better internal parts, accueq and its own dedicated support line. The 303 has video upscaling, mcacc basic and more power.

They are very similar, the deciding factor for some here was that accueq could be tweaked more which ended up sounding better in their rooms.

the rz630 also happens to be on sale right now!

Thanks. I don't think am really technical about audio matters so don't understand being able to tweak accueq. I do understand sometimes more power is better and both have same 3 yr warranty in regards to internal parts. Just need to know which one would be better in long haul.

Yes, both one sale. 303 for $339 and rz630 for $355.

@Tampaite sorry both receivers are under Onkyo now, so I cannot tell you which one is more reliable. The amazon reviews appear to favor the lx303 for sound, power and features.
