Are Most AVR Manufacturers Eliminating HD Radio From Their Features?

Love the HD radio on my Denon 3310, but early research indicates HD radio is being left off many/most new AVRs, especially Denon. And if so, is internet radio equal in clearness & clarity to HD radio? Really want to keep that HD Radio feature on my next AVR, which is about due for this household. Thanks.

In home systems...
HD Radio has lost the battle due to the streaming services...
Also the intense price competition in the AVR categories, leaves little wiggle room for extra features that may not be used by the majority of the market..
But for automotive 12V OE systems, HD Radio is virtually a standard feature. HD Radio is a great technology, how much U like it depends upon the HD Radio stations available in your local area..

Just my $0.02...

Good riddance as far as I'm concerned; HD (which does *not* stand for high definition) is low-fi.
spyboy likes this.

Onkyo dropped HD Radio beginning with their 2014 models, Yamaha with their 2015 models, and Denon/Marantz with their 2017 models. HD radio requires very close proximity (a few miles?) to the radio station otherwise it reverts to the analog signal while internet radio stations can be heard with good clarity from anywhere around the world.

Good, valid point..
But...
In order to receive HD radio signals a dedicated, costly HD tuner circuit is required..
To receive an Internet radio station the AVR needs only to have LAN/Wi-Fi capability and appropriate SW no special tuner circuit.....
