Onkyo 676 vs 393

The 676 is currently $249.99 on Amazon while the 393 is $249.99 at Best Buy. I know the 676 is 7.2 and can do 5.1.2 Atmos while the 393 5.2 can do 2.1.2 Atmos.

Is there any reason NOT to go with the 676 over the 393? From my understanding, the 393 is a model year or two newer than the 676. I haven't followed home audio standards nearly as closely as other things, but I don't recall anything earth shattering coming out, particularly that would be found in this price range. I do know though that it is pretty common that "higher end" features trickle down. Is there anything like that and would make the 393 a better option than the 676?

Thanks!

Do they both switch the full 4k video plus HDR or whatever? (I wire video straight to the display, so I don't ever care about this but you might).
Not many search matches for the HT-R393 which is kinda odd. Not carried at Crutchfield. Seems to have Accu-EQ vs. Advanced Accu-EQ for the 676. 676 has AirPlay.
--> I'd get the 676
...by which do you mean this? https://www.crutchfield.ca/S-ukEDLBT...-TX-NR676.html
Note it's Crutchfield CANADA, the US site has 686 not 676.

Here is the Best Buy link: https://www.bestbuy.com/site/onkyo-t...?skuId=6333560
And from Onkyo: https://www.onkyousa.com/product/hom...sors/tx-sr393/

For the 676: https://www.onkyousa.com/product/hom...sors/tx-nr676/

I believe they both do HDR. The basement TV is only HDR10, as is the connected 4k UHD player.

I know I can just like open both up from the Onkyo website and look at them side by side split screen, but I don't know enough if there is a subtle difference to know if it will impact me at all. To me, AirPlay isn't a big deal since it will be in the basement. I have Android and go in the basement. My wife has Apple and rarely goes downstairs.

Cheap spring clip connectors, no Ethernet or wifi, internet radio or streaming apps. I see no reason at all to get the sr393.

Sounds like a match made in heaven! Ya don't get on each other's nerves that way...
