Receiver recommendation for 5.2.4 Dolby Atmos Setup

Looking for advice and recommendations from the community.

Just got the wiring done for the overhead speakers for Dolby Atmos 5.2.4 setup. Fronts are Def Tech BP8060ST towers, Rears are SR8040BP, Center CS8040HD, Overhead 4 Di8R from Def Tech and Monolith 10" Sub.

I currently have a Yamaha RXV675 driving this setup.

I also have a Denon 2313CI driving my living room setup (2 UIW RLS II as Fronts, 3 UIW RCS II as Center and Rears and Earthquake 15" Supernova MKV Sub).

Need to reuse as much as possible without buying anything new. Will most likely sell one of these receivers to make room for new one.

I have a similar setup and using Marantz SR7011. I like what XT32 does with the sub integration.

Sony XBR-77A9G / Panasonic DP-UB9000 / Marantz SR7011 / Def Tech 9060 Series

If you don't mind a factory refurb Accessories4less has the Denon X4500 for $999

Also has XT32, AC4less is offering free shipping and a free 3 year warranty when you purchase the Denon X4500.

Go Dirac or go home. Safe and Sound (a reputable NAD dealer) has factory refurbished NAD T758v3 units at $1050. I've been running a refurbished T777v3 from them. The sound is fantastic and the dealer has been stellar.

I own neither, but the Onkyo TX-RZ630 and TX-RZ830 both support 9 channels.

The RZ830 is a particularly good buy at the moment. However, it has no Audyssey (proprietary room equalization software instead), and I believe that it has a single subwoofer output signal (regardless of how many subwoofer jacks it has).

Personally, I'd prefer the Denon AVR-X3600H (not the X3500H; it's a 7 channel AVR), X4400H, or X4500H. Audyssey XT32 plus SubEq (semi-independent equalization of 2 subs). The X4400H and X4500H can be had within your budget as refurbs, or new if you can find the right deal.

Keep in mind AC4LESS is not an authorized Denon dealer. That warranty is from a third party hired by AC4LESS. Safe and Sound is an authorized Denon dealer and has open box 4500 with a lower price that has 3 full year manufacturer warranty including open box items. I don't work for either business just presenting options. The 4500 is an amazing receiver. I owned it before upgrading to the 6500 using Denon's upgrade program.

How reliable are ebay brand new units in general ? Found good price on Marantz SR7013 there, but hesitant to take a chance.

99% of the dealers on eBay are not authorized dealers so you might get a unit that works fine for 10 years you might get a unit that works fine for 10 minutes. Unless it's like 60 to 70% off the manufacturer's suggested price I wouldn't even consider buying from a non authorized dealer and even then I think it's just not worth the hassle.

I extended my budget a bit, and got Marantz SR7013 for a good price (at least that's what I think) from SafeAndSoundHQ. Dave there was a pleasure to work with. While there, I also got a better deal on Def Tech Di8Rs and I am going to return the ones I got from Crutchfield.

Thanks everyone. I will share how everything sounds when I have them installed!

Safe and sound is an amazing authorized Denon dealer glad you were able to work with Dave and they could hook you up with the Definitive Technology speakers as well

Safe & Sound has become my go-to recommendation of AC4L... I got my refurb SR6011 there and was quite happy with the service, packaging, and price. They don't have quite as much available, especially on the refurb side, but I get a much better feeling from them than AC4L after the notable number of horror stories that have popped up over the last couple of years.

I know I mentioned it before but accessories4less is supposedly an authorized Denon dealer but there is a thread on AVS Forum about AC4L that has been closed where there are quite a few horror stories. Buyer beware.

Safe and sound on the other hand is an authorized dealer for Denon and Marantz and many other great manufacturers and on their open box items they still get the full manufacturer's warranty.

Actually A4L is authorized as per Denon.
If you buy a refurb from them, you get one year manufacturer warranty and 2 years from CPS for whatever it's worth.

Thank you for correcting my misinformation I did also reach out to Denon to verify. They didn't have anything other than to say that they were currently an authorized dealer.
