Exclamation Denon AVR-X1300W Setup Menu options grayed out

Hi,

My Denon AVR-X1300W is suddenly acting up. I am unable to access the setup menu except for the "General" section with the remote. The OSD menu shows all the other sections grayed out/inaccessible. I installed the Denon remote app on my cellphone and through that I can access some of the settings sub-menus but the "speaker" section is completely grayed out even in that. Power cycling few times hasn't helped. Tried a soft reset by unplugging the power cable but no change. Was going to do a factory reset till I came across this post on reddit -

https://www.reddit.com/r/hometheater...grayed_out_no/

Now I'm worried that if I do a factory/microprocessor reset and just in case that doesn't re-enable the menu options then not only will I not be able to access speaker menu like now but Audyssey will also stop working & I won't be able to re-configure my speaker settings and I'll be worse off. At least now I am able to use the AVR, just not able to change any settings. Tried to save the configuration through the web control but that fails.

What would you all suggest ?

1) Leave as is till absolutely necessary to make big changes to settings
2) My firmware is a a few versions older than the latest so I could try updating the firmware. Risk is if the microprocessor is glitched then it may not flash properly and that may make things worse
3) Do a factory reset before things possibly deteriorate

Thanks for your help.
