Any 9.x.2 or 7.x.4 processors with HDMI 2.1 yet?

Started the build process on our new home, just wondering where processors are at these days

Looking to have 7.4.4 setup with hdmi 2.1 support (future proofing [email protected]), hopefully with external amps. May have to use minidps to get 4 subs goin..

Do any processors support this yet?

TV: 65" Sony OLED XBR65A1E Speakers: KEF LS50 LCR Front Stage Subs: SVS PB2000 & PB1000 [B] AVR: Denon X3300W DSP: Dirac Live Full Suite

Maybe something like this. Very much high end range.

Don't believe that is true HDMI 2.1...just a couple of the features of HDMI 2.1 suc has eARC.

"The processors incorporate StormAudio’s new proprietary 7+2 eARC HDMI card which makes for faster and more robust switching with full HDMI2.0b/HDCP2.2 support. Designed by StormAudio, the card delivers 4K,18 Gigabytes per second bandwidth on all input and output ports, solid DolbyVision and HDR10 is also supported. The integrated eARC (Enhanced Audio Return Channel), a feature of HDMI 2.1, provides a big boost in bandwidth and speed, sending the high-quality audio from the 8K TV to the processor, and on to the amps and speakers."

Looks like HDMI 2.1 support is pretty lackluster right now (esp support for 1440p/[email protected] - maybe 2020 will be better

Afaik there arent any HDMI 2.1 boards for AVRs/processors yet. Read in other threads that they are expected a bit into or summer next year.

With eARC and many high-end processors replacing on-screen-display with network control, I'd not bother waiting for "full-blown" HDMI 2.1 in my processor. If you're actually going to use the available video bandwidth, it's going to become a cable-nightmare to find long-length cables that work. I'd just hook everything to the TV and leverage eARC to get the audio to the receiver. May make it the last receiver you need to buy if you don't care about new audio codecs and ever-growing channel counts!

There are D/M models that will be able to be upgraded to 2.1 boards . (Marantz av8805 and Denon 8500).
