Pre Out for Sub

Guys, I need some help on a Sub problem.

I am about to install a Stealth Acoustics speaker set up powered by an Onkyo 11.2 receiver model TX-RZ3100. The only issue is the Stealth Acoustics subs are passive not powered. I bought them with the SA255 sub amp to power each sub. I want to use the Onkyo to power my 11.X speakers, but I don't know how to pre out from this AMP to my Onkyo to the sub amp. If I use the Front pre out, then I'm assuming my front posts for speaker outs won't work. Is that correct? It won't let me post. a pic of the receiver, I'm too new, sorry.

Thanks for the help

Use the sub out from the Onkyo.

My sub amp line in is stereo, red and white connectors, this sub out is mono, 2 channels. Can I get a mono to stereo cable? The sub amp is a stealth acoustics SA255. I can’t attach a pic because they require a certain number of posts before I can attach links and pics.

An AVR with a true stereo sub output is as rare as an elephant with wings. Besides, the Stealth amp is mono with only one speaker output. The left and right inputs are summed internally. So, just pick one of the Onkyo sub outputs and send it to one input of your sub amp and you’re in business.

For powered amps, it would be common that one of the RCA inputs would be designated to receive a single sub input.

I don't see any such designation from Stealth Acoustics.

You could use a Y splitter to feed the same signal into both RCA inputs. As far as I know, it can do no harm. Example: https://www.amazon.com/InstallGear-S...9602751&sr=8-1
