What's the model of Denon? and what speakers do you have?

If AVR has preouts than you can add an amplifier if you want to but not an integrated amplifier.

You might want to be more detailed in what equipment you currently have, what you use it for, what you feel is lacking, as well as details in what you're room is like.

For example, if you're main use is HT, you're happy with volume and clarity of your mids and highs, and your receiver has a sub out, you may just need 1 or 2 subwoofers to round it out.

Marantz SR7013, Polk Signature S60s/S30/S15s/HTS12s, Polk MC80 (x4), AC Infinity T9/S9, AAB4 HTPC,...still to come - Panasonic DP-UB820K, 82" 4K QLED or eqv.

Please describe your electronics, speakers and your listening space. Speaker placement is a zero cost option that can greatly increase sound quality. Listening room acoustic treatments can be very inexpensive with huge benefit. Inexpensive equipment in a good room will sound better than the most expensive equipment in a crap room. Adding a subwoofer could improve your sound quality a lot too. It'll take load off the bookshelf speakers and Denon amplifier. Please list model numbers of your equipment. Upload a photo or two too.

Adding amplification will not help sound quality unless you are driving your receiver into distortion, which is unlikely unless you're really cranking it. Pick the low hanging fruit first. Placement and room treatments.

@Noel25

What speakers do you have?

What Denon receiver do you have?

Do you like 2 channel music more, movies more or mix 50/50?

Your DRA-800H should have ample power to drive your B&W 606 bookshelf speakers. Your AVR doesnt have preouts so you wont be able to add an amplifier if you want to (unless you use Zone 2 out) but I dont think you need it either.

You should consider adding a subwoofer if you don't have one. That will make the most impact in your setup IMO
