Blown output fuse on vintage threshold amp

I have been looking for a replacement fuse, but am a little overwhelmed.

The requirement is for a 4amp, 3AG, fast blow (~30mm). I’ve heard that ceramics might “sound” better and I am open to trying, but I’m finding it difficult to select one (or a few) that will work.

Will any fuse do that meet these specs? Any recommendations or interesting alternatives?

As long as you have the properly spec's fuse you will be fine. There's no sonic differences between those fuses unless one is blown and the other isn't.

Audiophile fuses?

I wonder what color audiophiles like to have their amplifiers painted, to give the best sound?

Every part has an audiophool version. Designed to part you from your money with very little effort because they can sell you a 1 cent fuse for $10. Remember to put a green stripe on it to optimize the flow of electrons.

The irony is that a fuse from a well known company like bussman and littelfuse will probably be better performing than the audiophool variant made by the lowest bidder at the Shenzhen market that cut every corner and probably half corroded during shipping.

Thanks for the brand recommendations!

Yes, I’ve found myself being pressured into investing in higher “quality” power cables and the such.
