Help on choosing compact all-in-one stereo amplifier
I plan to buy a all-in-one compact stereo amplifier to replace my current NAD D7050.
My main concern is to gain more 'musicality' and 'warm' as I find the nad sounds too neutral/digital with my speakers (Jean-Marie Reynaud EMP2)
I need a compact (<30cm depth) and WAF (remote compliant and ease of use) amplifier.
I need only digital inputs: optical/hdmi for TV and optical/coax for volumio if the ampdoesn't have streamer features
My short list:
- Naim Atom
- Bluesound powernode 2i
- Sonos amp
- Teac Ax-505
- Nuprime IDA 8
- Nad M10
- rega brio r + dac => EDIT: depth > 30cm, NO GO
Naim and rega are AB class amplifiers with 'english' sounds, so I guess they should perform well.
Bluesound (and sonos) have very good reviews, and incredibly value for budget... but I guess they will sound to much like my nad.
The naim is my favorite right now, but I feel like paying a lot for it's design and screen.
Any advices ?
