AV receiver choices

Doing a 5.1.2 system in a non dedicated room approx 18 x 14. Tv centered on the 18’ wall with Klipsch speakers RP 8060 fronts.
I’ve basically narrowed it down to 3 receivers
Pioneer Marantz Yamaha
Model Number
SCLX704 SR6014/U1B RX-A2080BL

And pros and cons of the 3 Or should I look at something else

Thanks in advance

IMO the only real differentiator is that the Marants will have audyssey with subEQ if ever run dual subs. If that doesn't apply to you, pick whatever you like best.

Front: Polk S55
Center: Polk S30
Rear: Polk S10

Thanks

The Marantz was my first choice but I’ve been out of it so long that the input truly helps

Thanks

If you were running 4 ohm speakers, I'd suggest a closer look at the Pioneer, as it's the only Class D system among your choices.

But you aren't, so it doesn't matter.

Have you considered the Denon AVR-X3600H? It has a very similar feature set to the Marantz SR6014, at a lower price. I can't speak to the value of the Marantz "HDAM" circuitry; some swear that it's great, others that it produces no audible advantage. I am not fond of the Marantz "porthole" display.

As most current receivers are now network enabled, check out the apps for each system -each are a closed ecosystem (with the exception of the Pioneer (play-fi)). HEOS is solid. Play-fi is decent. I haven't tried the yamaha musicast.

The whole house audio doesn't get much love or consideration in this particular forum. But I have found at least the app control (which is different than the whole house) is a feature you never knew you needed until you have it.

good luck.

The Marantz SR6013 is from the previous model year, and has almost identical features of the SR6014 (and Denon AVR-X3600H) for less money, and can be found as an open-box clearance item.

The Denon AVR-X3500H satisfies the 5.1.2 requirement and still has the Audyssey MultiEQ XT32 of the Marantz for even less money, and can be found as an open-box clearance item.

I have Pioneer Sc95 and Marantz 6013,i would pick Marantz over Pioneer, it is so easy to setup, calibration is breeze, overall the whole package is better, sound is very good both in music and HT. you can calibrate two sub individually, each cross over can be set individually. if one can get 6013 it is well priced due to discounts.

Marantz SR6013: Parasound 2250 V2: Aircom T8: Dolby Atmos 5.2.4

I would suggest to pull down the apps for each one. you have 3 different ecosystems for music-over-wifi as well

Marantz(denon): HEOS
Yamaha: Musicast
Pioneer: playfi and Chromecast (IIRC)
