2 Channel amp with sub out + bass management

Hi,

Does anyone know of a 2 channel hifi amplifier with sub out, that also includes bass management. I mainly need the ability to set crossover (low pass on sub out and high pass on the amps 2 speaker outputs), and as importantly a distance setting for phase alignment of the sub (where I'll delay the amps 2 speaker outputs), to compensate for the subwoofer hardware inherent delay.

Thanks
Martin

Thanks. Interesting product, but doesnt quite fit my budget, 1000 dollars absolute max would be ideal. Good to know there are products out there though. Thanks

Again out of budget. This one is 2000 but looks cool! https://nadelectronics.com/product/m...ing-amplifier/
I think they use a modified Hypex NCore amp.

Thanks. Interesting that one has an ncore amp. If I had the money, I'd buy two NC400 kits and a better minidsp unit for running full range. I currently have a minidsp 2x4 HD in between my av amp and subwoofer amp. Tried using it full range once like a pre-amp, but wasnt happy with sound quality - the high frequencues got trashed by it.

Ha! I was going to tentatively suggest a MiniDSP HD as an active crossover but I agree, I don't trust the sound quality even on the HD. It changes the sound per my own REW measurements. I'm looking to DIY in the future. I'll say this, the NAD 758v3 AVR is still around and can be found on clearance. It's got a solid amp but it's got integrated Dirac Live which is a game-changer for sound. I'd highly recommend that and it would fall in your price point and meet your requirements.

you could probably find one somewhere.

Thanks. Yeah, such a shame about the 2 x 4 HD on full range. Would definitely pay couple hundred extra for a minidsp 2 x 4 UHD, which addresses DAC quality and noise issues. But for sub duty, you cant get better, such a cool piece of kit.

Thanks for NAD and outlaw ideas, worth considering.

Another minidsp product I've found is the minidsp SHD power which has built in 2 ch amp.

Not sure about plugin capabilities though, and yet again DAC and amp quality. Have to wait for some reviews.

Thanks

Thanks. I'm starting to be won over by the outlaw if im honest. It has crazy retro looks and all the features I need. I'm in UK, and have added it to Ebay saved searches. Fingers crossed one turns up for sale. I'll maybe need to learn amp refurbishing, but that's right up my street. Rather do DIY, than outright purchasing consumer products. Think it's this, or go some sort of minidsp pre-amp route with hypex ncore amps.

Thanks for everyones advice, much appreciated. Martin

Pioneer VSX-S510 or S520 or the Onkyo equivalents are a good backdoor way to do this. 5-channel devices but so what - just use two channels only. These particular provide same max power per channel whether 2 or 5 channels, 8 or 4 ohms.

Thanks, think you're right with the Yamaha, Pioneer and Onkyo products, easily obtainable in UK market. This is a no brainer, thank you ever so much

Can't figure out why my minidsp SHD power didn't link properly -https://www.minidsp.com/products/str...ries/shd-power

Parasound's P5, 6 and 7 also have decent sub-outs and management...

But these are preamplifiers.
