AVR in multi channel config.

As we are aware all major AVR are rating the WPC as 2 channel driven with the whole frequency band, so how much WPC do I really get at speakers connected to all internal amplifiers?
Next I'd ask about a surround sound setup with atmos. Say the yamaha 3070 has 9 speakers connected to 9 internal amps, different speakers will be powered at different times. Like for a movie with plain simple dialogue will maybe only use Center channel and an action packed scene may fire all 9 for the effect. Would the watts vary in the same movie?
I have kef t301/t101 in my home theater hooked upto a yamaha A3070 and my MV stays between - 15 to - 25. I still didn't have to use any sort of center channel enhancement or increase in db to make the center more audible than it is. I think ypao added +0.5 on C and +1.0 on FR.
I see a lot of posts swearing by improvement in sound using external amps. I'm not denying the benefits or calling it snake oil, but for my personal setup, would you guys suggest using external amps?
ROOM is 23x13
MLP is 15 feet from the front about 2 feet left of the center from the side walls.

Can't answer the question before we know whether or not you are satisfied with your current setup. Do you get any clipping at high levels? Do you wish it would go louder while maintaining a clean and clear sound?

Not really. I'm happy with my system. Like I said the MV stays between - 25 to - 15 and it gets plenty loud. Just wanted to know if it'll sound a little cleaner?

If its already clean then there really isn't any way to make it cleaner. It will sound different but amps are a finicky bunch. Equipment interacts with one another so it gets very difficult to know what a given amp will sound like. Mind you it won't make an enormous timbre difference but there will be a difference.
