Need Help Identifying This Setup
A neighbor of mine contacted me to help identify the built in setup that was pre-existing in the home he bought. The home was built about a decade or so ago and he hasn't had any luck with the builder. In looking at it I've identified the speaker block. However there are only 2 pairs of connections in the block, however there are 4 speakers through out the house. Now this isn't a home theater setup. There is one speaker in each of 4 rooms, that is ceiling mounted. Also in each of those rooms is a wall mounted paddle that is labeled for volume control.
What I can't figure out is this IR Feed Block panel. I'm guessing it's wired to a each of the wall paddles. All of the "Triggers" have wires going to them (though I don't know what these would be used for). Four of the IR In have wires going to them (I'm guessing these run to each of the wall volume paddles. Though I'm trying to understand how you would utilize them.
Finally since there are only 2 pairs of wall jacks for speakers, how in the hell does that go to four speakers. I'm absolutely baffled. I have no doubt you can help me out with helping out my neighbor. Please see the pictures below.
