Cool Atmos ceiling speakers quality and matching

I'm working on building a 5.1.4 system in my new dedicated music/ht room. I need to decide which speakers to get for Atmos in-ceiling channels. My main speakers will be underrated Sony SS-AR and NA speakers. Since Sony doesn't make timbre matching ceiling speakers, I'm looking for alternatives that will be a good match for Sony's smooth highs and flat response.

Has anyone mixed and matched in-ceiling speakers in their Atmos system? Do those channels benefit from better quality speakers?
I'm trying not to spend too much on ceiling channels so I narrowed down my selection to Polk 700LS or 900LS and Dynaudio S4-C65. Out of these 3 models, 900LS goes the deepest, down to 40HZ.

I went with on ceiling vs in ceiling and chose the Focal Sibs, which sound great as atmos speakers and are flexible in terms of installation options. They aren’t a timbre match for my Polk LSiM’s but blend in seamlessly nonetheless.

What made you choose Focal over Polk Blackstone? It also looks like out of the box Sibs Eva would point straight down when using the supplied wall bracket on a ceiling. (I assume you don’t use Sibs Atmos version)

I did, I got two towers/one center/and four bookshelf's for surrounds duty, all timbre match;

For atmos, I use four of these to complete my 7.1.4 (two subs) system;

Work flawlessly

The bracket on the Sibs allows them to swivel and tilt, so you can mount on a ceiling or wall quite easily. I was able to get them on sale for about 100 each and I felt they had a good sound and matched my other speakers pretty well.

Other than the Sibs, I’ve read lots of good things about the svs prime elevations and would definitely recommend you check them out as well.

I made sure I got matching tweeters all around. I use Monitor Audio Gold Signature for the base layer and a few generations newer Monitor Audio Bronze BX1's for the ceiling.

Works great. I might update the ceiling speakers to MA Apex A10's at some stage as they look nicer and are from the same generation as the bed speakers.

Since you have a sub and you probably will run your atmos speakers as small, most of your low bass will not be played by the atmos anyway. Convenience and timber matching are going to be more important than how low they can play.

I DIY’d all my speakers and subs. My mains each have dual 8” Dayton drivers, one 6” dayton mid, one 1” dayton tweet, there are three of them all identical. My sides and rears are 2ways with 8”dayton woofer/one 1” dayton tweeter.
All the tweeters in every cabinet are RS28a 1” tweeters, 7 in total.

A friend who works for SVS recommended SVS prime satellites for the Atmos channels (4) in all.....

They blend wonderfully, for music and movies......

As of Feb 20th still looking for a Marantz SR7010

For Atmos I use On-Wall speakers (L/R side walls), Klipsch RP-140SA (the successor is RP-500SA). They work well and the sound is more than good!

DOLBY ATMOS 5.2.4 - Yamaha RX-A2080 - Klipsch RP-280F - RP-450C - RP-250S - RP-140SA - R-112SW - LG OLED 55B7 - HiMedia Q30 - Xbox One X SE
