Show Us Your Sexy Speaker Cables!

I'm buying new towers, and they'll be very visible from the side in my family room so they need some sexy speaker cords for the short connection to their wall plates. Let's see some pics of your cables!

Whatever floats your boat, . If you go this way, I hope it saves you money over buying exotic looking cables off-the-shelf.

I'm using Blue Jeans Cables, which look nice, but fairly basic. My personal favorite looking cables are made by Nordost. They have quite a range of price points, but are still on the expensive side even for their bottom tier cables. They are made in America!

Why worry about what "everyone" else uses? Just purchase what mechanically and aesthetically suits your needs.
And I have been using 14AWG speaker wire from Radio Shack for over 40 years. Bare wires too!

I made several of my own cables that look great following the above thread from years ago. Try that. There are tons of options when it comes to connectors and the various colored tech flex options.

Not a great photo, but I sheathed mine in TechFlex of "Neon Green".

I'll try to get a photo of the completely different-looking ones I made for my LS50's out of Canare 4S11 cable and sheathed with TechFlex in the black with red accents. That'll have to be tomorrow when there's light in my office.

Here's better photos of the Monoprice CL-2 #2817 sheathed in Neon Green TechFlex, and the Canare 4S11 cable sheathed in the black with red accent TechFlex. I use locking banana plugs from Blue Jeans Cable, and cable 'pants' from Knu Koncepts.

I could make some for you but I don't work for free.

I'm pretty lucky. There's a store near me which will custom cut any length of audibly top-grade speaker wire I want and they offer it in a wide range of sexy colors to match my decor, including: black, white, yellow "gold", silver, brown, and clear.

I know. We've talked about it in the KEF thread.

From Totem's website, btw:

Quote:
Single-wiring is definitely a very good way to proceed as long as the four terminals are there. The user has the choice of connecting just the lower two terminals and through this obtain a certain “tone”. Reconnecting the wire to the upper two terminals gives the user more high frequency emphasis. Connecting the red positive at the bottom and the black at the top (diagonally opposite) or vice versa will give you two more “tone” options.
