Help to set up Phone Controlled Music in pre-wired house

I'm looking for basic home setup. House already has in-wall speakers in 5 different rooms and outside, pre-wired to area below family room TV but not connected to anything currently. I'm looking for a basic setup where I can control music from my phone or ipad and easily turn on/off each room and control volume (would like to use Google Play Music or Spotify for streaming music service). I'm just trying to figure out the basics needed to have a good system (doesn't need to be great), and particular brand/products suggested. I'm guessing Sonos Connect is involved, but do I also need receiver to connect to each speaker area? Or is Google Chromecast an option?

I'm not really planning to utilize the family room speakers for TV sound (but potentially?)

Thanks.

The easiest and least expensive option is a 12 channel amp and 6 chromecast audios. Although cc audio have been discontinued but you can still find them.

An amp like this one that outo turns on the channel when a signal is recieved.

Spotify connect works very well with cc and integrates nicely with google home and Alexa.
