Can I unseal my midrange driver?

When do drivers need to be sealed and not? I have this pair of Paradigm bipoles which I went and converted to dipoles and one side of the mids are sealed and the other is not. I can notice a reduced bass output on the sealed driver because of the pressure. Now that these are dipole and in polarity with each other, can I remove the enclosure on the sealed mid safely?
