Preferred WIN10 audio player

I'm looking for another music player for my WIN10 PC. I want it to be able to play the major formats (FLAC, MP3, WAV, and the various Apple formats), and also display the tags and album covers, if they exist.

I have several flash drives on which I have these files and, when I plug them into my AVR or my car, the tags show up, but not my computer. Any suggestions?

If I select one of these files, Win offers up Foobar2000 (which I used to create some of these files), Groove, Media Player, and Kodi (Which I can't figure out how to use).

Take a look at Audirvana. Not only does it look good, but it also sounds good.

OK, I am trying Audirvana and it plays my music well. However, it displays record covers that I never got (for CDs that I do have). And some of them are wrong, so it must go out to the internet and try to match album covers. I have the 30 day free trial.

I like MusicBee over Foobar2000 that I used to use.

IME, I ripped all my CD's to my Win10 PC.
WMP and Groove show tags and cover art without issue 99%.

Another vote for Musicbee.
https://www.getmusicbee.com/

Like its interface.
It is also very good in transcoding (converting on the fly to a portable).

Check if the problems you have with tags might be because it is WAV.
WAV is notorious troublesome in the tagging department.

What do you mean by converting to a portable? My possible issue with Audirvana is that if my files are on a flash drive (I have several) and plug it in to my computer, do any of these programs immediately recognize it? If I'm using Groove or Foobar2000, for example, all I have to do is navigate to my E: drive and find the music file. Another issue is how does the program deal with multiple tracks (in the same folder)? Will it play them all, in some specified order?

I have all my files on a external HD (in fact a USB drive connected to my router).
I use SD cards for the portable hence I mentioned transcoding, exporting a part from your library to a SD card and converting it at the same time.

You can pint MusicBee to a removalbe disk, no problem.

In general media players including MusicBee don't care much about folders.
They read the tags, group files into albums and play them by track number

I prefer Foobar2000 for music. I believe that one should check out several players and pick the one you feel most comfortable with.

I don't think that musicbee supports anything but PCM. no SACD, DSD, .dff, .dsf or .iso files. Does it decode Auro-3D, ATMOS, DTS:X or DTS:X pro audio?

I'm trying MusicBee and it has good and bad points. My use is strictly for playing files on my compter. Many CDs I have ripped into different formats - my library has MP3, Flacs, WAVs, etc. Sometimes I have ripped the same CD twice, putting one onto a FLAC folder and the other on the WAV folder. Can you sort by format, so that they don't get intermixed? Also, if file is in error, there doesn't seem to be an easy way to find that file (the search button doesn't search my computer but the internet).

Maybe I should go back to iTunes. One feature it has is that if I sort my collection by anything, artist, composer, title, then start playing one it continues through my entire collection (if I let it), in order of my sort.
