Is there some kind of text only mode, or print this page tool? The old version if I recall had that function which was fabulous to print stuff out instead of reading hundreds of replies on screen eek.gif

Looking forward to the new site.
Thanks for the tip on email notifications, let me add that that I create email accounts specifically for three forum updates and have my phone pull them twice an hour. So no overdose of emails in my personal accounts.

FWIW, the full site works great on my S3, using Dolphin Mini browser. But having a trimmed back HTML5 version will be much faster, so I appreciate the effort to provide it for us.

And yet another reason to hate using Tapatalk with AVS: after the latest update, the ability to edit one's posts has seemingly disappeared. Anyone else notice this?

I don't know if this has happened to anyone else, but Tapatalk has not worked at all for AVS Forum for the past 24 hours. It says that there is a problem with the server.

Try clearing out your cache for the Tapatalk app.

My tapatalk quit "reading" AVS after only one week.
I also see a message that reads "UNKNOWN ERROR - appears the server has some issue with tapatalk"

How does one clear out their "tapatalk cache" on an iphone?
(Yeah I'm a mobile device newbie)

I was going to just sit and wait it out for the new AVS mobile format - however, not so sure that will ever be available smile.gif

I don't have an I Phone but you might need to into settings then applications and find the tapatalk app. There you might be able to clear it.

bruce73,
Once I opened taptalk; I had to poke around awhile to find "settings". However; after that it was easy - and I'm back in business.
I guess I need to be less hasty - and patient enough to explore more smile.gif
THANK YOU !!

No problem. I had to explore too; I keep Tapatalk on my old iPhone but only really use it on my Android.

And thank you as well. I thought AVS had killed Tapatalk and was looking for the HTML5 site!

Clearing the cache cleared up the problem.

Are there any updates from the AVS group on timing for HTML5 functionality? I would love to get rid of Tapatalk.

Hi...

All I can really say at this time is that we are getting closer to the beta.
