Hello! new member here. From Arkansastan. I am wondering, what part of the forum would I post my set up from antenna to TV and everything in between to determine if my setup is workable? TVFool is unavailable to post to, and no way to contact moderation there. I didn't see a section really dedicated to "setup information", and since I am new to cord-cutting, I want to make sure the wife stays happy with streaming and OTA broadcasts. Thanx! Tim

Tim..

You'll probably want to post in multiple places as there's not just one "setup" area. Make SURE to read the "Read Before Posting" instructions at the top of sections that have that.

Antenna help is best found in your local reception thread. Check out the INDEX at the top of THIS SECTION as well as the READ BEFORE POSTING thread. Also take a look at this thread so you'll have an idea of the information needed to help you.

You should probably add your location to your profile, too. See mine at the left. It really helps.

As for streaming, this section might be able to help.

Good luck. PM me if you need additional help and welcome to AVSForum.

Hello All,

Thanks for the Add.

Recent new member. I have already gotten tons of suggestions from my questions. I thought it time to properly introduce myself.

I am a product engineer for a major pharmaceutical company. I have 2 bachelors degrees, BSME from Bowling Green and BSTPM from Illinois Institute of Tech. Well over 300 college credits. I am retired Navy, MMC/SS. I am also an avid fisherman with my own boat.

I recently bought a new home and in the process of finishing the basement "man-cave".

At this time I will describe my expected HT. 5.2.4 Atmos
Marantz SR7013 (Own) $600 off MSRP
Martin Logan 2- 60XTs, 1- 50XT, 2- FX2s, 4-EM-ICs. Package deal saving >$1600 of MSRP
2- Rythmik FV18s. Just received quote from Enrico.
Panasonic DP-UB820. Looking for the DP-UB9000. Is this expected to be available soon?
Leaning towards the Sony 85X900F over 65A9F
Xbox 1X

Slight delays in walls, some plumbing considerations, slowing things down. So in the process of collecting my parts at current time.

Hello AVS members! Long time reader and lurker, it’s about time I put my big boy pants on and created my account. The information I have read over the years that you the AVS forum members have posted has been invaluable to me. I have learned so much and I know that will continue. I would not have the knowledge I do now if it wasn’t for the AVS family so again thank you all!

Thank you for the welcome

Very welcoming forum Found site looking to do home project. I'm finishing kitchen remodel. I've installed a dimmer switch for under cabinet lighting. I found rope lights I like. Can I cut of the plug and hardware the rope lights to the dimmer switch or do they sell a converter that I hardwire then plug into?

Hey everyone. I found this forum a few months ago and in January I purchased my first projector: Epson 5040UB.

I am very happy with it, even just projecting on a wall, and thanks to this forum I was aware of the power supply issue, so I made sure to purchase it from an authorized dealer with a credit card that offers free extended warranty. Hopefully I won't need it.

Hello im Mike, I live in south east GA USA. Im retired, I just became a grandfather for the first time with my youngest sons daughter and my oldest son is about to join the Air Force. I enjoy wood working, fishing, reading, guns, my Jeep and fishing.
I ran across this forum while searching for answers to a HDTV problem. I looked thru a few threads and I liked the way the members here answered others questions. So I thought I would see if maybe someone here could help me with my problem but I will post that in the proper area.
Have a great day!!!

Thank you for the add. I'm from the Philadelphia area of PA. I have a Sony x930e 55 in, purchased from Best Buy in January 2019 and a Denon AVR x1200w used receiver from my parents. I have 7.1 setup right now with front height speakers.

Thanks again for the add.

New member here. A friend who is a long time user of this forum and dabbles in the DIY section told me about how active this forum is, and he sure was right.

I'm in Seattle, kind of obvious, huh I'm in the process of building up my HT room slowly, much slower than I thought I would, but the lack of funds gives me more time for research.

Go to User CP (upper right of a page below the search bar), then Edit Signature (off to the left), then Save. Sounds like maybe you've done this but it doesn't stick. If so - might need some requisite number of posts before it works permanently? Make sure the "Show Signatures" box is also checked in Edit Options under Thread Display Options (I thought this was default though....).
