Well, I just recently purchased a LG 55LM6400 TV, and am trying to pick out a universal remote to control 5 devices. I've been looking into the Harmony line, but now I hear that it has been/being sold, and its future is uncertain. I've looked at the Harmony One and the Harmony 700. Can anyone please provide some suggestions? I'm looking at the 100-200 range.

Thanks in advance!

The future for Harmony is uncertain, but I can say it's the best remote I've ever owned.
I bought a refurbished 880 a while back on Amazon for $99, it has worked flawlessly. I see now the refurbished ones are going for $199, and a new one for $249.

After reading some of the reviews, I'm worried about going the refurb route. Apparently, the refurbed remotes that some people have gotten have been in poor shape. I was looking at getting a refurb Harmony One. Thanks for the feedback!

Honestly, the Harmony remotes are the best for multi devices and "activities". They can be a bit of a pain to set up, but you will learn the way to deal with any issues.

As for the refurb route, most are good and a good value. Just make sure you buy it somewhere with an easy return/exchange policy. If you are still hesitant, watch for the "Box Stores" to have sales, or just ask for a discount.

As a "remote guy" I can tell you that the Harmony is the only way to go when you have a family using it. Once it is fully set up, the activities are a blessing, and the ability to customize is wonderful.

Sometimes I have to remind myself that I bought all this "stuff" to enjoy it!
