Question Xfinity XR11 Remap buttons?

Using the XR11, and it works fine with my LG TV and my receiver. Except for one thing.

I can scroll through TV inputs, but I have no way to select an input (OK). Is it possible to remap one of the A, B, or C buttons as a select button (OK)? Preferably, I would like to remap button A as Input, and button B as select.

TV is an LG 50LB6100

Thanks in advance for any help, it is much appreciated!

Ok, so I have found that EFC 164 is for OK/Select. I have tried 00164 and 10164.

TV Code is 10178

I have tried to use the 994 setup code to map that EFC to the 'B' button, but it does not seem to be working. Anyone know if the XR11 uses typical 9xx codes?

It does not, and it won't take EFCs either. If you want the ability to remap, you'll have to use one of the older model remotes.

An EFC of 164 would never be entered as 10164. You're confusing EFC prefixes with setup code prefixes. If you enter 10164 on a remote that accepts EFCs, the remote will use EFC 180 (the modulus of 10164 and 256), using this particular protocol. For other protocols, 10164 may be valid but would never be equivalent to 00164.

Thanks for the info. So am I correct in assuming that there is no way to program an OK/Select button/function? When i do Setup>994, it gives me two green flashes.

Kind of a bummer. I can rotate through inputs with the Input button on the remote, but without a selection button it is useless.

Correct. Not possible on that remote. If I were you, I'd get the old version off eBay. They're only $3-$5. The old one also does activity macros so you never have to scroll through inputs.

Thanks again. When you say Old Version, is there an old version with voice control? Or do you mean XR5, or more like the XR2 U2?

Sorry for all of these questions, I really do appreciate your help.

No, not X anything. All of them are terrible, programming-wise. The URC-1067 is what I was thinking of.

Here's some more info about using the old remote: https://www.avsforum.com/forum/42-hdt...e-control.html
