Harmony Elite Multiple Panasonic Blu Ray players.

Hi Gents, I wanted to know if the Elite can program the Panasonic Blu ray players with different codes for the Remote. I have 3 Panasonic Blu Ray players UB 200 4k the UB 820 and a BT 2020 Players all connected to my receiver. I have them all set on different Remote Control codes 1,4,6 so they won't all come on at the same time, or interfere with each other. Is the Harmony up to the task of programming itself with these different players with the codes that I have set?...thanks

You would initially set up three identical devices using the same code. On two of them you go into the settings for the device and confirm IR and it'll have you teach a few commands. If they have match in the database it would change the rest of the keys in that device to match. Do the same with the third device.

Started years ago with a regular Panny Blu player, upgraded to the UB200 4k player about 2 years ago, and now upgraded to the Panny 820 with Dolby vision. Just haven't removed the other players from my system. They all work great.

seems like unplugging the two old ones is easier than figuring out how to control all three

Believe me, I thought about that in the beginning, but then I thought, what to do with them, so I'll keep them active..

just curious - do you ever use the other two? Do you use them at once? Or keep two movies queued up ready to play? Or Trailer DVDs on the older players before the main movie?

With an automation system:
User interface(s) (which includes handheld remotes) talk to the control system. The control system then knows which command to send to which player from it's programming and from the mode the user chooses. The control system sends out the request to a "global cache IP2IR" hardware. The GC sends IR out the correct IR port to the IR emitter. The IR emitter is stuck to the player's IR eyeball with a boot that doesn't allow that IR to be seen by other devices.

Once the above is in place, then the movie night can be orchestrated by the control system to sequence which HDMI port the receiver is on, and which bluray player to Play and which to Stop.

Or, rip the movies and get rid of the players
