Need a very simple remote.

First post so Hello all
I have two music players, one Daphile and the other piCorePlayer. I am using simple remote controls like eBay item number: 142990763594. They are very simple but have enough functions for total control of the music players.
Problem is after about three months they begin to wear out, need heavy push on buttons, then button stops altogether..question is can anyone recommend a similar simple remote that is better quality.
These are 2.4ghz wireless mice but regular IR remote would be fine.
Help appreciated.
Thanks

No I had problems with that number too. They are advertised as universal 2.4g wireless air mouse remote control for pc android tv box. Another one is 232951904373 and that does work for me, ebay uk.

Similar regular IR remote that is high quality made by world's largest remote maker and should last several years. Also programmable via Remote Master for control of any IR device. Should also be available in the UK.

Thanks mdavej
That looks exactly what I need, one slight problem is the systems have no IR receiver input as the cheap ones I use are 2.4ghz wireless.

In your initial post you said regular IR would be fine. I don't know the capabilities of the devices you're trying to control.

The 2.4g wireless mouse has a usb wireless receiver that plugs in to a usb of the PC or Pi.
IR is fine, but I need an IR receiver that will also plug in to usb on PC or Pi.
Would one of these or similar work as IR receiver. eBay item number:313024863084. Then I could use the Remote you advise.

No. That's just a USB powered repeater. Must be receiver using MCE, Ortek/Adesso or NEC (Diamond) protocol, not IRDA. Could also be universal like FLIRC.

Flirc is too expensive, my systems are very basic.
I have used these: eBay item number: 231528747775. They do last but the layout is very cluttered. Could I use its IR receiver with the Oneforall remote you advised.

I can't find that item number. But if it's a no-name Chinese one for 6 USD, it won't work. Must mention in the description one of the protocols I listed, like this:

Sounds good. I've gotten Ortek dongles to work with Pi, but never tried MCE ones. They probably work fine, but I can say for sure.

If you end up getting that remote and want to program with Remote Master, you'll need one of these (Original, Independent option):
https://www.ebay.com/itm/Original-6P...o/312234679584

Remote Master does work on Linux and I think Pi as well.

I assume Remote Master is to program the remote control from usb of probably PC. Is this about correct.
