Harmony Elite issue

Hi, I've been using a Harmony Elite for years with no problem. I recently added a PS4 to my system for the first time, and I believe that's when a new problem started. Now, Harmony isn't properly turning my Sony tv on and off, and I have to do that manually, even though the Harmony is properly controlling all other components. I did some quick searching and thought my problem was HDMI-CEC was on, which seemed to be true when I looked at the settings for my tv and PS4. So I turned that feature off on both devices, but I still have the problem. Any suggestions? Thanks!

No Magic answers. What devices do you have in your setup, e.g., AVR, STB, etc. and how are they connected? Also, when you say that you have to manually turn the TV on and off, is that with the physical power button on the TV?

These are difficult problems to solve because you cannot "see" what is being communicated between devices. Try the following to better understand what might be happening:

1. Disconnect the PS4 from the system
2. Turn off and unplug all devices for a minute
3. Plug them back in, except for the PS4
4. Try starting the activity that uses the PS4. Does it turn on the TV?
5. Try starting another activity that does not use the PS4. Does that turn on the TV?
6. If you go to Devices, TV, do the power on and off commands work?
7. Is the TV setup in Harmony for IR or IP (wifi) control
8. Is the TV being controlled by IR, is it directly from the remote or from the Hub?

This is great, thanks! I have an AVR, STB, CD Player and PS4, the devices are all running through the AVR. And I have been manually turning the tv on/off with the physical power button as I seem to have lost the original tv remote. Will try these steps by the weekend and see if they lead me anywhere.

about 50% of the time my Sony TV won't power off using the activity command.
pressing help 100% always manages to turn the TV off.

logitech support article says something about adding a delay command, but neither the mobile app or desktop app allow me to add a delay as the "finish" button is always greyed out.

Try Devices, Sony TV, Change Device Settings, Device delay settings, and try increasing the Inter-key delay. Alternatively, try adjusting the Device command repeats.

yes that's what the instructions say,
but when you get to the end it doesn't let you save any changes, the button is greyed out.

i have to say that the logitech software (mobile and desktop) have to be the worst pieces of sofware i've ever had to use. a good remote totally ruined by rubbish software.

I really only use the Desktop software and it does have some quirks but I would not call it bad. The "Finish" button to accept of changes is not greyed out for me. Try running it in Administrator mode.
